The Xperia C5 Ultra is being pitched as a “pro selfie” smartphone. It offers a 13 megapixel front-facing camera as well as an enhanced front-facing flash. It also features a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera.
This smartphone has a massive 6-inch 1080p display and comes with a 64-bit 1.7 GHz processor and 2GB of RAM under the hood.
Meanwhile, the Xperia M5 features a 21.5 megapixel rear-facing camera that Sony claims will be a market leader for mid-range smartphones, and a 13 megapixel front-facing camera.
The Xperia M5 is smaller than the Xperia C5 Ultra with a 5-inch 1080p display. It features a 64-bit 2.0 GHz processor and 3GB of RAM. The M5 is waterproof and dust-tight, with IP65 and IP68 certifications.
Both devices run Android Lollipop 5.0 and offer 4G connectivity and up to two days of battery life.
Sony has said that these devices will be released "in selected countries across emerging markets" from the middle of August. - Irish Examiner
