A new top level domain is about to arrive in Africa.
dotAfrica (.africa) will bring the continent’s internet community together under one domain, uniting Africa’s digital landscape and enabling local services to flourish online.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), which is the organisation responsible for the coordination of the global internet's systems of unique identifiers, has already launched a top level domain application process for dotAfrica, and here’s how your business can get involved….
Why should my business register for a dotAfrica domain?
dotAfrica (.africa) is the proposed new generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) for the African continent. It is an opportunity for your business to proudly show its African identity online, associating your products and services with the people of Africa.
Are you an African business with a registered trademark? By reserving your dotAfrica domain early, your company ensures its brand is protected from domain squatters and will be able to successfully grow alongside Africa’s digital future.
