2017 Jaguar F-Pace Now In Harare

23 June 2016

This Jaguar is the first-ever crossover to be tamed by the British manufacturer known more for sports cars than off-roaders, and yet Jaguar is giving the people what they want. All-wheel-drive crossovers are red hot cakes in the pet market and Jaguar knows that a cat that an untamed cat will sell. And indeed the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace will sell well with cat lovers and even dog lovers. This newest Jaguar has just hit the Zimbabwe Jaguar dealerships and already is looks to be one of the brand’s most popular vehicles.

We have now seen that Zimbabwe Car dealers are now moving with the times, the Navara 2016 arrived in January and the New Toyota Fortuner is also here.

The F-Pace’s looks are likely to be one of its biggest draws. Jaguar’s SUV strongly resembles the C-X17 concept car it unveiled to great acclaim in 2013. Not much has changed since then and the car Jaguar used to test the waters has now translated into a production SUV.

The company is promoting the F-Pace as its “most practical sports car” and the SUV takes many of its design clues from other vehicles in the company’s stable. The sports-car link is most evident around the back the taillights are similar to those on the Jaguar’s F-Type while the front end uses the design language employed by the XJ and XE.

The F-Pace is accessible with the Jaguar Land Rover Ingenium 2.0L turbocharged Diesel engine, available in the Prestige, Portfolio and R-Sport specifications. While the 3.0L turbocharged diesel and supercharged petrol are available in the S and First Edition riders. The F-Pace is also offered in both 2WD and AWD variants.

Equaling the Evoque to the F-Pace is thought-provoking considering the possibility for Jaguar Land Rover to cannibalize its own sales with the two cars. However, the company has set out a clear standard: the F-Pace is the more road-focused offering and Land Rover’s cars will keep their all-terrain capability at heart.

Prices for the F-Pace start from $80 000 for an entry level Prestige trim. For that, you’ll be getting the 2.0-litre diesel with rear-wheel-drive and a manual gearbox.
